If there’s one thing that you could change, what would that be ?

I would definitely like to say "Nothing", as everyone is perfect in their own special way. But, there is always room for improvement. In my case, I would want to be less of a "yes man" and consider my options wisely before making any decision.

Obi Vincent. A cross-lifter (does crossfit and bodybuilding), entrepreneurship, makes fitness to be a priority. Started out from nothing but now he has 700k youtube subscribers.

Do you think social media is good or bad for the society ?

It's good until it takes over your time of day and situational awareness. It is a good source for recording memories and sharing them with people. It's also a good marketing platform, to be able to put time and effort into something that will reach millions of people. What's not so great is that it can be intrusive into someone's personal life. It all boils down to controlling what you share online and also keeping it real.

What would be your strategy in winning Mr Would Singapore 2022?

Take it easy and enjoy the process. Make as many friends as possible (keep your enemies closest to you). I'm kidding. But really, just having quality conversations with everyone and making friends would be my strategy.

Stanley Ho Age: 27 Height: 169 cm Weight: 63 kg Occupation: Student Instagram: instagram.com/stanleyhoyp/

Stanley has a happy-go-lucky personality and a free spirit. Due to his likeable nature, he likes to interact with people and can converse on a wide range of topics. His close friends also describe him as a great listener. Due to his curious and outgoing personality, he is always keen to try new adventurous activities such as paragliding and scuba diving.

Currently, as a chemical engineering undergraduate, he would spend his free time by spending time with his family members, catching up with his friends, watching movies and anime, and playing computer games.

He was inspired by secondary school friends who represented Singapore and won the 10th International Dragonboat Festival Race at Tampa and decided to join Dragonboat as a Co-Curriculum Activity (CCA). Even though he did not win any medals throughout his 5 years in the CCA, he decided to join the Singapore National Dragonboat team in 2016 to represent Singapore in the Macau International Dragonboat Race. He had to train almost every day while juggling his schoolwork but managed to push on with determination. On 30 May 2017, it was a very emotional day for him as Singapore clinched 3rd position. The discipline, integrity, loyalty, respect, and resilience earned through those 5 years which shaped him into who he is now.

Besides Dragonboat, he started to have an interest in the media industry and started dabbling in modelling and acting gigs. It was a dream since when he was 19 years old but was unable to pursue it due to his commitment to Dragonboat and also a lack of confidence. After some encouragement from his friends, he decided to step out of his comfort zone and publicise his social media account. During his holiday last year, he was fortunate enough to be approached by several photographers to model for projects and he also applied for acting shoots appearing in small roles. He was a host on a lifestyle live streaming application where he connected with his viewers through casual interaction and participated in events such as lemon eating competitions and cosplaying, and even performing terrible dances that put a smile on everyone’s face.

What would be your strategy in winning Mr Would Singapore 2022?

Through this competition of Mr World Singapore 2022, Stanley will do his best and have fun while experiencing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity because by being fixated on success, one could lose oneself. He rather regrets trying the activities than regretting not experiencing them.

Hence, I decided to join the national team the following year. Fortunately, we did Singapore proud by clinging to an international bronze medal for the competition. This taught me to be relentless and not let go of my dream which I believe everyone should learn.

It would be Derek Chew from Beam because he was the one that inspired me to step out of my comfort zone when we first met at a holding area for a shoot. At that point in time, I was on taking subtle steps to explore more skills and interests. After conversing with him and listening to his story for a short 15 to 20 minutes, I was motivated to try everything without being afraid to fail. I "unprivated" my socials immediately and that opened up opportunities to collaborate with others. I am really grateful that I met him as I might still be in my comfort zone today.

Do you think social media is good or bad for the society ?

Personally, I think that social media is good for society as one could gain knowledge from others and learn from other's mistakes so you will not replicate the same mistakes. Aside from personal usage, It could also improve the positivity of the world because it could be easily accessed.
