The popularity of sports can vary by region and personal preference, but as of my last knowledge update in January 2022, here are ten sports that were gaining attention and could be interesting to pick up in 2024:

Esports:
Competitive video gaming continues to grow in popularity worldwide, with a wide range of games and genres to choose from.

Cycling:
Whether it's road cycling, mountain biking, or even indoor cycling (e.g., Peloton), cycling offers a great way to stay fit and explore different terrains.

Rock Climbing:
Indoor and outdoor rock climbing provide excellent full-body workouts while offering a unique and thrilling experience.

Ultimate Frisbee:
This team sport is gaining popularity for its fast-paced and inclusive nature, combining elements of soccer, basketball, and football.

Surfing:
If you live near a coast, surfing can be an exciting and challenging water sport that also provides a great workout.
Pickleball:
A combination of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, pickleball is a rapidly growing sport, especially among older adults.

Parkour:
Parkour involves moving through urban environments by running, jumping, and climbing over obstacles. It's a dynamic and physically demanding activity.
Rugby Sevens:
Rugby Sevens, a shorter and faster version of traditional rugby, gained popularity due to its inclusion in the Olympic Games. It's a thrilling team sport.

Yoga:
While not a traditional "sport," yoga continues to grow in popularity for its physical and mental health benefits. It comes in various forms, from gentle to more intense practices.
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA):
MMA combines elements of various martial arts disciplines and has gained a massive following. Training in MMA can provide an excellent workout and self-defense skills.
Remember to consider your personal interests, fitness level, and local resources when choosing a sport. Always consult with a healthcare professional before starting a new physical activity, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions.
